Last month we brought you news about Anna Faris being cast in the next big CBS show. (Breaking Bad) and (Star Trek) have now been added to the cast of 's comedy pilot Mom.
The multi-camera comedy centers on the newly sober Christy (), a single mom trying to pull her life together in the Napa Valley. The West Wing's plays Faris' mom.
Jones will play Baxter, ex-husband of Christy and father of her son, Roscoe. The thesp is a Breaking Bad grad — he played Jesse's pal Badger — who also has appeared on Hawaii Five-0 and NCIS and plays Zeke in the upcoming 'The Farm' episode of NBC's The Office.
Daniels - best known as Meredith's son Jake on The Office and also spotted as Johnny in 2009's Star Trek - has been cast as Luke, the boyfriend of Christy's daughter Violet.
If Mom gets a green light (and if Two and a Half Men returns for an eleventh season, as many expect it will) that would bring to four the number of shows Lorre will have on the air next fall, joining the already renewed The Big Bang Theory and sure thing Mike and Molly.
Are you conviced by the show's premise? I'm not, but as much as I want to hate this pilot, this is one hell of a cast. Also, I am glad to see that Spencer Daniels' face tattoo is not real.
