With erotic blockbuster Fifty Shades Darker hitting theatres this Valentine's Day, one cinema in Ireland has reportedly issued the following warning: Single men will not be allowed into the screening on their own.
Indeed, at a turbulent time when ridiculous bans are already permeating world politics, the Diamond Cinema in Navan has warned that it will not allow any "unaccompanied males" in to view the second instalment of the Fifty Shades series. Here's the trailer:

The #FiftyShadesDarker message, as part of a phone listings recording, read:
"If you're looking to go to 'Fifty Shades Darker' and you're bringing your boyfriend, you better keep lots of space between you. It's on an 18 cert and I must stress that single men or married men on their own, any unaccompanied males will not be allowed in."
However, those calling in and hearing the message soon understood it as a mere joke playing into how sexy the movie is perceived to be. And after news spread of the cinema's single man ban, Paul Egan — the guy behind the original phone listing — couldn't help but laugh about his "tongue-in-cheek" trickery. He joked:
"Well, it's meant to be a titillating film so I thought it might be better to keep the single men outside until we suss it out. Sure it could lead to all sorts of temptation with women's hormones flying all over the place, while watching the film. It might be better to keep the men outside the door until we see if women can control themselves"
Egan then added that despite the fact that he actually fell asleep in the first movie, Fifty Shades of Grey, he knows full-well that it seems to get other people all hot and bothered. He said:
"The film is basically porn for women, going on what the distributors are describing to us."
So there you go, although single men aren't actually banned, they're urged to proceed with caution unless they can deal with hordes of females losing their brains over Jamie Dornan's bare ass cheeks parading around his Red Room of Pain.
Is the 'Fifty Shades' series the sexiest thing you've ever seen?
