Being both a barista and a die hard Pokémon fan, Kevin Melbourne has embarked on what seems like an insane Pocket Monster art project. Through his work-related medium, coffee, he wants to depict all 151 of the original, first generation Pokémon.
Quite the task, especially considering how terribly difficult in can be to create even the most basic patterns in the fluffy cream on top of a latte. For most people, getting a result that somewhat resembles a withered leaf or a deformed heart takes all their strength and mental capacity.
But we guess it's a lot easier if you're actually a professional and so into #Pokemon that you know every inch and detail of the creatures.
"Painting" All 151 Original Pokémon
The project began in the beginning of January. Kevin Melbourne simply started from the beginning with Pokémon number 1, good old Bulbasaur, and he's been working his way through the rest of the 151 ever since.
All of the Pokémon he has depicted so far are made in extraordinary detail when you realize they're carved into whipped milk and coffee, but even so some stand out from the rest. Here's a couple of examples of the milk-frothed Pokémon.
