Man, Norway is starting to compete with Japan for "country most likely to have its horror films ripped off and remade by Hollywood". That being said, horror fans should be happy to learn that the original sequel to Norwegian slasher flick Cold Prey will finally be making its way across the pond to shelves here in the US on April 23rd.

From the synopsis:

During the winter in 2006 four youths faced a brutal death in the Norwegian mountains of Jotunheimen. Only one woman named Jannicke survived. Frozen and weak, Jannicke is brought to the local hospital, along with the body of the vicious mountain man whom she’d killed. But when she wakes up in the hospital, the building is dark and deserted... and she soon realizes that her nightmare is not yet over.

And hey, we've got some bloody new clips to whet your appetite. In the first clip, a young woman learns the hard way that a fire extinguisher ain't nothin' to f' with, and in the second, a serial killer chases down some future victims with a pickaxe. You know, situation normal here.

You can preorder your copy of Cold Prey II right here on Amazon.
