2017 has finally come, and superhero fans like me are crazy excited to see some incredible comic-book movies come to the big screen, like Justice League, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, Wonder Woman, and Spider-Man: Homecoming.

2017 is going to be an awesome year, but the list doesn't stop there. With so many comic-book films gracing our screens in 2017, it's rather easy to forget about certain slightly more low-key comic book movies.

Here are three 2017 comic-book movies you may have forgotten about...

1. 'The LEGO Batman Movie' (February 10, 2017)

We've seen some fantastic versions of Batman over the years, but the LEGO Batman - who first appeared in 2014's The LEGO Movie - seems to top them all. This comedic version of Batman who only works in black (and some times very, very dark gray) was easily one of the best parts of The LEGO Movie, and based on the trailers, his solo adventure is going to be truly hilarious.

LEGO Batman is set to face off against his arch-nemesis, Joker, who will be voiced by Hangover star Zach Galifianakis. The cast also features Michael Cera as Robin, Rosario Dawson as Batgirl, Ralph Fiennes as Alfred, Mariah Carey as Mayor McCaskill, and Billy Dee Williams, who will reprise his role as Harvey Dent / Two-Face. Overall, it looks like it will be an action-packed and fun film, and a great start to 2017's long list of superhero flicks.

2. 'Captain Underpants' (June 2, 2017)

Wonder Woman isn't the only superhero to take to the big screen on June 2 - she will be joined by Captain Underpants, who finally gets his own movie on the same day! The underwear-clad superhero will have an animated style like that of The Peanuts Movie, as he takes on one of his greatest enemies: Professor Poopypants!

For those who don't know Captain Underpants, he is the primary protagonist of the popular kids book series of the same name. He was created by George and Harold, two elementary school students who accidentally turned their principal into a crime-fighting superhero who only likes to wear one article of clothing...and a cape. I'm curious to see how well the films turns out, as the book series was one of my childhood favorites.

3. 'Kingsman: The Golden Circle' (October 6, 2017)

Kingsman: The Secret Service was one of my favorite comic-book films of 2014, which is why I am so excited that a sequel is actually happening. Hopefully we'll get to see more of the comedic violence, blood and action that made the first film so enjoyable in this follow-up.The plot will focus on Eggsy and Merlin as they take on a new, mysterious foe who led an attack on the Kingsman headquarters. It is also rumored that Galahad - Eggsy's mentor from the first film - will make a surprise comeback.

The most exciting part for me is not the plot this time as much as it is the cast. I thought The Secret Service had a star-studded team, but The Golden Circle will bring even more big names with it. The sequel is set to feature Channing Tatum, Jeff Bridges, Julianne Moore, Halle Berry and, for reasons yet to be revealed, Elton John. I'm all excited for movies like Spider-Man and Justice League, but Kingsman: The Golden Circle could end up being my favorite comic-book movie of the year.
