I've always tried to avoid any association with the Harry Potter franchise. As a bespectacled male with short brown hair I was constantly having the words "Oi! Harry Potter" hurled at me from across classrooms, pubs, and streets. As such, I tried to put as much distance between myself and Harry Potter as possible.

It seems like might have a similar issue, although he absolutely is Harry Potter. In a recent interview with Out Magazine, he revealed the Harry Potter movies he tried his best to avoid. He revealed:

I certainly wouldn't watch number three, I wouldn't watch the first two, I wouldn't watch four. I might watch five. I definitely wouldn't watch six.

So, basically that's a no to every Potter movie up to The Deathly Hallows Part 1 and 2. Why all the hate? Well, he doesn't really elaborate, but perhaps he doesn't like looking at his younger self? I have the same feeling when my mother breaks out the baby albums.

His extreme desire not to watch Harry Potter and The Prisoner of Azkaban was particularly surprising. He had originally praised 's addition to the franchise for its unique style and darker tone. It certainly is the best Potter movie in my book.

Perhaps, he's just eager to separate himself from the whole speccy-wizard-kid persona. His more recent work has certainly been a change of pace (although he's still speccy). He's currently starring as Allen Ginsberg in indie coming of age drama, Kill Your Darlings.

What do you think? Are there any Harry Potter movies you cannot bring yourself to watch? Let us know below.
