The Dark Knight trilogy co-writer has compared his new version of Leonardo Da Vinci to Batman - and it's not hard see why.

Goyer's incarnation of Da Vinci, played by , is a suave ladies man who can't keep himself out of trouble. Luckily, he appears to be pretty handy with a sword. And, like Batman, isn't afraid to ride a rope up to the rooftops when he finds himself in a pinch:

Looks like Assassins Creed 2 may have lent some inspiration. I think this will be a sexy thrill ride. After helping hatch Nolan's Batman trilogy, it seems as though Goyer wants to bring some of that cinematic flair to the small screen this time around.
The series premieres Friday, April 12th. Do you plan on checking it out?
