The cast of #Glee have been taking over #TV ever since the musical dramedy concluded back in 2015. While Grant Gustin and Melissa Benoist are busy playing superheroes on The CW and Lea Michele releasing her second album, Darren Criss will be sticking with #RyanMurphy, as it was recently announced that he would star as serial killer Andrew Cunanan in the upcoming third season of #AmericanCrimeStory, titled The Assassination Of Gianni Versace.
Murphy took to Instagram to share a snap of the set of Versace, which recently started production, and it features Criss in character as Cunanan. Check it out below:
The photo also confirms that New Girl star Max Greenfield, who previously worked with Murphy on American Horror Story: Hotel, has been added to the cast of The Assassination of Gianni Versace.
Criss is known for his role on Glee, having played Blaine Anderson for five of the show's six seasons. Since the hit Fox series concluded, Criss has starred in Hedwig and the Angry Itch on Broadway, American Horror Story: Hotel and recently portrayed the Music Meister on the musical crossover of The Flash and Supergirl, reuniting him with fellow Glee cast members Gustin and Benoist.
As if Murphy wasn't busy enough with American Crime Story, the showrunner also has new seasons of Feud and American Horror Story on the way. The Assassination of Gianni Versace will air at some point in 2018, following the second season of American Crime Story, #Katrina. The first season, The People v. O.J. Simpson was critically acclaimed and won several Emmy awards, including Best Actress for Sarah Paulson.
American Crime Story will return to FX in 2018.
