To avoid fainting, keep repeating 'It's only a movie...It's only a movie...'

The Walking Dead has gained a faithful following with its mix of splatter gore and emotional depth. Shifting relationships between characteres are amplified by the walker-infested situation and a bit of romance is key to lift spirits.

The Walking Dead creator has finally spoken up about the biggest will they-won't they on the show, Daryl () and Carol ()...and it doesn't look good:

There’s every chance that it’s actually a no-burn and these two people don’t get together. Daryl and Carol are very different people. These are two very damaged individuals, and that leads them to connect in a very serious emotional way. But it still remains to be seen whether that’s actually going to spiral into a romance.

But then, Kirkman does like to wind up Walking Dead fans. He commented at San Diego Comic-Con:

About the Daryl thing, that fan reaction is going to get him killed. I feel like it’s a dare. Like, ‘Oh, really? You’re gonna riot? We’ll see…we’ll see. No one is safe.

Pfft, you wouldn't do that, Kirkman. Would you? Oh man, roll on October 13 when we might actually find out. Carol and Daryl's fate hangs in the balance.
