The scarefest Mama did pretty decent business when it frightened its way to theaters in January this year, bringing in a more than respectable $89.1 million at the worldwide box office. It's no surprise then that talk has turned to Mama 2 and the possibility of a franchise. Universal Pictures President of International, David Kosse, spoke to Screen Daily, revealing:

We think there’s potential for a Mama franchise. We’d like to do another one. But those conversations are in the early stages.

There's obviously a lot of money to be made from freaky feral kids.
