If you're one of the many people who succumbed to the seductive charms of Fifty Shades Darker over the past week, you may have noticed a few things. Ana is smarter and more empowered in this movie, for instance. Surprisingly, considering the source material, there are some genuinely feminist undertones.

Most importantly, though, the giant knob which controls the sex quota has been turned up to eleven, meaning Darker is now tripping on discarded underwear all over the joint and can't stop thrusting Christian into Ana's eager embrace.

All good news for us, but in a slightly more bittersweet turn of events, Dakota Johnson (days after revealing that she rejected the use of a body double for filming sex scenes this time around) has spilled the tea on a potentially super-NSFW sex scene which got cruelly axed from the final cut of Darker.

Speaking to USAToday.com, here's what unreasonably attractive co-stars Johnson and Dornan had to say about the tryst in question:

Johnson: "There are more sex scenes in [Darker] than [Grey]."

Dornan: "And some got cut out of it."

Johnson: "The whole pool table scene we literally spent a week filming."

Dornan: "It felt like a month."

Johnson: "It better be [on the Blu-ray]!"

If that sounds like a joke, it's probably not — Grey got an "unrated" Director's Cut, and although that wasn't really any great improvement, there's enough material from this movie to make sure the unrated edit of delivers serious (se)X factor.

Director James Foley also weighed in, revealing that Johnson helped lighten the mood on set by "snorting" during the shooting of the most intimate sex scenes and cracking up the entire crew. Dornan, who said he felt "naked and exposed" without facial hair, would perform push-ups just prior to each sex scene, which doesn't sound like the worst thing for a co-star to endure.

E.L. James's husband Niall Leonard wrote the Darker script, and Johnson was overjoyed to learn that he had snuck in an Easter Egg which nods to Working Girl, the most famous movie made by her real-life mom, actress Melanie Griffiths. Ana tells a co-worker "I don't expect you to fetch me coffee unless you're getting some for yourself," which pays homage to an identical, iconic line from Working Girl. Johnson says it was her favorite part of Darker. Cute, right?

Foley also decided to give the Red Room a makeover after deciding that the original set was "not particularly inviting or sensuous." He collaborated with E.L. James and added richer tones of red to create something more in-line with the author's original vision for Christian's boudoir of sin. Considering how much sexier this sequel is, it's fair to say the switch-up paid off.

Fifty Shades Darker is in theaters now.
