It is fairly undisputed that the celebrity Facebook king is . BUT, if there were a celebrity Facebook prince, it would almost certainly be . It's been well-documented that Diesel has a tight bond with his 44 million followers, interacting with them on a level that is unrivaled by almost every other celeb (save the fabulous Mr. Takei).

But might Diesel have secretly revealed a crucial bit of casting on the part of Marvel for the upcoming The Avengers: Age Of Ultron? Diesel let fans know via a Facebook post that he'd had a meeting with Marvel, posting yesterday:

Marvel meeting today...

Only the people in the room can tell you what was discussed...

P.s. Thanks to Our page, for pushing to make it happen... you know I get tunnel vision with my work... and after that meeting today... wow!

along with this picture:

But as pointed out, Diesel might have included the answers right in his carefully-worded post.

Why carefully-worded? Because it's standard operating procedure over at Marvel that actors and actresses signed to roles aren't allowed to publicly discuss the negotiations or confirm those roles even after they've signed on the dotted line. For example, we already know which roles most of the people cast in Guardians of the Galaxy are going to play. We know it, they know it, Marvel knows we know it, and yet, those actors are still not allowed to officially confirm and discuss those roles at any public appearances, not even SDCC.

But Diesel has always operated his Facebook page from a stance of mutual respect with his fans and regular acknowledgment of their support, and his comment may have been his secret way of letting fans know they'd helped him land the role they had wanted for him all along.

First of all, the picture: It's not just that he's standing in front of an The Avengers cover, but that he's specifically standing in front of Avengers #2, a pretty clear indication he's to be part of The Avengers 2, and not one of the standalone films of future phases.

Second, the text itself: "Thanks to Our page, for pushing to make it happen..." Most people don't know that what started this whole thing wasn't Vin himself, but his fans. Last year, some of his followers created fan art linking him to the android Vision, and then Diesel himself acknowledged it by posting it to his account, which was what started the initial rumors he was up for The Vision in the first place.

"[Y]ou know I get tunnel vision with my work...and after that meeting!" Tunnel vision? COME ON. Especially after his meeting? If that's not a clearly coded hint he's indeed in talks to play The Vision, I don't know what is. It's very odd phrasing to use on its own, which seems to indicate it's there for a reason. Vin Diesel, master encryptor.

Long-time Marvel fans might throw a fit, as they doubt Diesel's acting ability, but there's almost no one hotter on the planet right now (along with his buddy, , who has been linked to the Luke Cage role more than once), and international recognition is a huge piece of Marvel's ambitious Phases project. He would be a great link between the "old" Avengers who are recognized the world over (Iron Man, Captain America, etc.) and the "new" Avengers who are less well-known as of now (Ant-Man, Scarlet Witch, Ms. Marvel, etc).

So what do you think? Did Diesel's Facebook post all but confirm he'd be playing The Vision in Avengers 2? Or are we making up something out of nothing? Let me know your thoughts in the comments.

The Avengers 2 (whoever they may all be) hits theaters on May 1st, 2015.
