Even though 's Elysium is yet to hit theaters, it looks as though the director has already started planning his follow-up, Chappie.

According to South African news site Die Burger, Blomkamp has found his leads in zef rap-rave duo Ninja and Yolandi Visser of Die Antwoord.

The musical pair will be playing themselves in the sci-fi comedy, and with a line in their popular song "Baby's on Fire" saying, "Neill Blomkamp's makin' me a movie star," it's no surprise that Blomkamp would feature these two in one of his flicks.

Although we don't know much about Chappie, Blomkamp himself commented that:

It's like a fundamentally more simple story, a comedy, a heartfelt story, in a science fiction setting. And it's fucking hilarious, it's a really cool film. I can say that with confidence... It's a smaller film, a more esoteric one.

I love Blomkamp, but absolutely don't love Die Antwoord. Not sure how their paths crossed with Neill, but this band is definitely the weirdest to come out of South Africa, so let's wait and see how this pans out...

We know dis casting is "freeky", as they say, but do you like it a lot?
