In just a week, the Fifty Shades of Grey team have seen the walk-out of the lead man, and now scripting struggles are holding the project back further.

quit the role of Christian Grey for the Fifty Shades movie, and now it seems that poor writing may have been a factor in his departure.

On Friday, the studio hired Oscar-nominated screenwriter (Closer, Notes on a Scandal) to work specifically on the characters and polish aspects of the script.

Rumor has it that Kelly Marcel's original script might have been the reason for why Hunnam jumped ship, regardless of the global exposure that the adaptation of E.L. James' best-seller would bring.

But thankfully, sources say the script should be ready in time for a November start date, so fingers crossed the studio are able to find a new leading man by then!

Universal is now looking to fill the Hunnam-shaped hole with a new lead, considering (The Fall) and (True Blood) among others. The studio is also revisiting its initial list of possible contenders, including and .
