Ever since Disney acquired LucasFilm last year and announced they were planning to release a new Star Wars movie every year starting in 2015, we've been waiting impatiently for official word on what those movies would be. Well that day has finally arrived and it gives me enormous pleasure - and no little excitement - to tell you that the Han Solo Movie is happening and it will be arriving in 2016.

More Star Wars treats

During an investors’ conference of Disney stakeholders, Jay Rasulo, Disney’s Chief Financial Officer, revealed that a Han Solo Origin story would be the next project out of the stable, followed by a Yoda Origins in 2018 and a Boba Fett Movie in 2020.

This is pretty huge news for all Star Wars fans. Han Solo is one of the most popular characters from the Star Wars universe, so getting a movie that shows how the smuggler became a scoundrel capable of making the Kessel run in less than 12 Parsecs would be seriously awesome.

Star Wars: Episode V & VI scribe and X-Men: Days Of Future Past writer are penning the script and while there's no word on who will fill 's substantial shoes, the studio has been on the lookout for the perfect candidate for several months already.

I want to hear from you now and I have two questions I want you to answer: Who should play the young Solo? And what source material do you want the movie to draw from? Drop your thoughts in the comment section below or hit me up on Twitter.
