Finally, the very first look at the hotly anticipated Young Adult thriller, Divergent has been released. Fans of The Hunger Games will love the blend of rebellion, futurism and self-discovery that the film encompasses, bringing Veronica Roth's bestselling novel to life.

Set in a post-apocalyptic dystopian Chicago where citizens are split into five clans based on personality types, our heroine Tris Prior () is marked as a Divergent, one who does not fit into any one bloc. Naturally, her dissent is not taken kindly by the rigidly structured society, and she must discover why the Divergent people are so feared before it's too late.

Thirteen seconds? That is pretty cheeky but I have to say, they were thirteen pretty good seconds. 'If you wanna survive, follow me'... now why does that sound familiar?

What do you reckon? I will definitely go to see this glossy, futuristic teenfest, but I have yet to see a Young Adult dystopian flick that comes close to The Hunger Games. Could Divergent do it? Could Tris steal Katniss' thunder, or is it Everdeen forever?

The final trailer will air exclusively during the the VMA (Video Music Awards) pre-show on MTV, Sunday, August 25. Divergent will hit theaters on March 21, 2014.
