The British countryside doesn't have many perils. We have few natural disasters, the most dangerous animal you'll come across is probably an irate badger, and if you get lost, well there's a pub with a roaring fire and real ales about ever 500 yards. Lovely, idyllic stuff.

Oh yeah, we do have the occasional countryside based serial killer though...

Take for example the new trailer for Sundance horror, In Fear. The critically acclaimed claustrophobic horror comes from and features a couple trapped in the bewildering (and increasingly terrifying) English countryside. Check out the trailer below:

Why, oh why, do they keep getting out of the car! Maybe the synopsis will explain?

In Fear is a tense psychological horror about a young couple’s fight to make it through the night. Home invasion but in a car. In real-time. Tom (De Caestecker) and Lucy (Englert) are trapped in a maze of country roads with only their vehicle for protection, terrorized by an unseen tormentor hell-bent on exploiting their worst fears. Driving, lost and tormented in the night, primal fears of the dark and the unknown give way to fear that you have let the evil in, or that it is already there.

In Fear is fast approaching its limited theatrical and home release, you can see it in select cinemas from March 7th and pick it up on Blu-Ray, VOD and DVD from March 11th.

What do you think? Will you be taking a trip with In Fear?
