With the DVD and Blu-ray release date for Doctor Strange rapidly approaching, we're starting to get snippets and bits released online to get us excited for the Special Features and Deleted Scenes we'll be seeing for the home release.
So far we've seen a bit more of what made Kaecilius so terrifying, and a #TinaMinoru related tease, which suggested a major battle was cut from the finished piece. But another one gives us a better look at one of the more exciting cameos from the movie. Check it out below!
The #cameo in question is that of Daniel Drumm, who popped up a few times in the movie and in the Marvel's Doctor Strange Prelude comic, which came out prior to the movie's release. In the comic canon Daniel Drumm is the brother of Jericho Drumm, a.k.a. Doctor Voodoo, a.k.a. #BrotherVoodoo, a.k.a. the Sorcerer Supreme.

Daniel Drumm has been around in the comics since the 1970s, although for most of that time he's been a ghost, attached to the hip of his brother. Jericho himself has a long history with #DoctorStrange, and the two share very similar origin stories.
Jericho was a famed psychologist practicing in America, who was forced to return to his home in Haiti after his brother fell ill. It turned out that Daniel had been practicing voodoo magic, going by the title Brother Voodoo, and had fallen ill due to a curse cast upon him by the black magic user Damballah the Serpent God.
Daniel ending up passing away due to the curse, but not before tasking Jericho to seek out his teacher, Papa Jambo, to avenge him. Jericho did so, and eventually succeeded Daniel to become the next Brother Voodoo. As a parting gift, Jambo brought Daniel back from the dead in spirit form, binding his soul to Jericho's.
Jericho Drumm later went on to succeed Strange as the #SorcererSupreme when the Doctor relinquished the title after messing with some dangerous dark magic during the events of World War Hulk. Before the movie came out there was some rumors floating around that Brother Voodoo would cameo in Doctor Strange, but they sadly proved false.
But Daniel did pop up, and met an untimely death at the hands of #Kaecilius whilst protecting the New York Sanctum Sanctorum. This deleted scene shows us a little bit more of his character before he shuffled off the mortal chain, and perhaps there'll be more to see of him on the DVD and blu-ray release.
So now that Daniel has gone, does that mean his brother will show up to succeed him? We don't yet know if Jericho Drumm exists in the #Marvel Cinematic Universe, but if he does his presence could point to an even wider expansion of magic in the #MCU, bringing the voodoo magic of Haiti into the mix and expanding the pool of magic practitioners in the universe.
And the more magical characters we have, the more important that facet of power will become. After Scarlet Witch's origin story was altered to make her powers the result of the Mind Stone rather than a magical mutation, we could do with another reality-bending magic practitioner around.
And who knows, perhaps Daniel will even return in spirit form? Hey, maybe one day we'll get a Brother Voodoo movie. We'd watch the hell out of that.
