It's no secret that Warner Bros. and DC are trying to emulate the success of The Avengers by drawing their big named superheros together. It seems this process might begin with 's Man of Steel.
The following information could be considered a spoiler to those particularly spoiler-sensitive people. So proceed with serious caution.
A few days ago, rumors began to spread which suggested Man of Steel featured a scene in which a satellite bearing the Wayne Enterprises logo is destroyed by Zod. Of course, this is pretty big news as it certainly suggests Batman and Superman inhabit the same cinematic universe, but perhaps there's more? Snyder has now broken cover to explain a tiny bit more. He told Collider:
The Wayne Enterprises logo is on a satellite that Zod destroys. I don't know [if this means they'll team up]. Everything is interesting at this point. And don't forget that Lex is out there, doing who knows what...
Hmm, this inclusion of Lex Luther's name is certainly interesting. Is this a sign of a future superhero buddy movie between Supes and The Dark Knight, or is it just a nice little Easter Egg to please fans? At the moment, we don't know, but Snyder at least seems content to milk and excite the fan boys.
Talking about excitement, Man of Steel releases on June 14th. Why don't you check our special Man of Steel coverage below and get that adrenaline rushing?:
