Yesterday, the new poster for Marc Webb's The Amazing Spider-Man 2 was revealed, showing the movie's main villain Electro (Jamie Foxx) causing destruction in the Big Apple through the eye of Spider-Man (Andrew Garfield).

If you haven't seen it, here's the image, featuring Spidey's eye:

Look familiar? That's because it's pretty much the same concept that we saw printed on the cover of Marvels #4 ("The Day She Died"), which tells of the death of Gwen Stacy (Emma Stone) as told from the perspective of Bugle reporter Phil Sheldon. Check it out:

Although this might be a totally unintentional homage, we've already seen Emma Stone wearing some familiar clothing on the set of The Amazing Spider-Man 2 - the green coat, purple skirt, black top and knee-high boots, which should be well known to any fan of the comics - that could have massive implications for the fate of her character.

I've since started to believe that Gwen Stacy ain't gonna make it out of The Amazing Spider-Man 2 alive, so could this poster just be a reaffirmation of that? What do you think?
