There is a certain set of lowered expectations that we've learned to bring with us into the theater when we're about to watch a filmic adaptation of a videogame. That being said, studios are far from finished with their attempts to cash in on the popularity of various games and one rather interesting upcoming adaptation is that of the hugely successful online role-playing game World of Warcraft, set to be directed by (Source Code).

Recently cast in the lead was (Captain America: First Avenger) and during an interview with Crave Online, he offered a few words on just why Warcraft won't be your average videogame movie.

"There’s a very human story at the heart of it because there’s a few of us that are humans in it that are up against tribes and problematic issues that exist in the world that we exist in. It’s happening all over the world at the moment and you see it happening all over. People have savaged their own lands and their own environment and they’re having to find a new environment in which to move into through the hostility of others. If there’s something as poignant as that that we can relate to and that we see unfolding in everyday life, then it will make it a worthwhile story.”

I am a big fan of Jones as a filmmaker and I can't wait to see what he does with such an expansive world to play with. Cooper's words are quite encouraging if you ask me.

But hey, nobody asked me. I'd much rather know what you guys think.
