The Rock might be able to wrestle a rhinoceros into submission but that doesn't mean he's completely invulnerable. The star of Pain & Gain and the upcoming Hercules had to undergo an emergency hernia operation after injuries sustain during a wrestling match.

According to Huffington Post, The Rock was injured while taking on John Cena in defense of his WWE Championship on April 7th. It seems during the bout, which Cena won, Johnson tore his abdomen and abductor muscles. Ouch!

Last week the 40-year old star announced on Twitter:

Unfortunately, his surgery meant he was unable to attend the LA premiere of his new film, Pain & Gain. Luckily, director was there to wish him well:

Dwayne's hurt tonight. He was pushing it too hard. [He] needs to grow up and stop wrestling 300-pound men.

It seems the surgery went off without any hitches and it didn't take long for Johnson to get back into the fighting spirit. He tweeted the following picture from his hospital bed:

Wow, that must the toughest man ever to be photographed while wearing a shower cap.
