This week Emilia Clarke revealed she had new hair. That's right, Daenerys Stormborn of the House Targaryen, First of Her Name, the Unburt, Queen of the Andals and the First Men, Khaleesi of the Great Grass Sea, Breaker of Chains, and Mother of Dragons has new hair. Now we have been graced with a second shot of this new do and, oh my, is it looking fantastic.

Not just any new hair. Previously sporting her natural gorgeous long brunette locks, Clarke's new style is short and rather platinum blonde. She's fairly well known for playing the aforementioned Mother Of Dragons on a little show called , where her character also happens to have rather blonde hair. Coincidence? I think not.

Clarke's "need to be near fire breathing creatures and uncomfortable seats made of iron has trebled" — she is truly transforming into Daenerys Targaryen for the last season of shooting. Could this mean something important for Daenerys? Or is this new 'do just a red herring?

Does This Spell Doom For Daenerys And Jon?!

What can this signal for our Khaleesi? Will she be cutting her hair? If she is cutting her hair will she have just broken up with Jon? Everybody knows you gotta chop your hair off when you break up with someone. Perhaps if you discover that your lover is simultaneously your nephew, your first cousin once removed, and your second cousin once removed, maybe you really do have to call it quits. Bummer.

In Emilia Clarke's first photo documenting her radical style change she did a shout-out to her wig makers on Game Of Thrones, who also appear to be responsible for the new coiffure. The stylists in question leave us in no doubt that this style change is a wardrobe move and not merely a whim.

But perhaps the hair change is not a big narrative development, maybe Khaleesi just fancied a change — all that hair must surely get in the way when riding one's dragon. Whatever the plot move, Emilia must be happy to not have to don a wig for shooting every day, but that bleached blonde hair is definitely going to make is a lot harder to fly under the radar whilst out and about amongst her adoring subjects in the real world.

So, stay tuned guys. Hopefully the 'grams of our favorite GoT stars will be giving us tidbits of info to dissect and digest for the duration of our long wait for Season 8.

Does Emilia's new 'do scream doom for Jonerys?
