Before the crème de la crème of Hollywood gathered around the stage to applaud some of the best cinematographic work of the year, however, the show was also one of the main opportunities of the year for stars to show off the work of their stylists — and cross fingers that not an inch of boob tape had been misplaced.

#EmmaStone, who took home the Best Actress award for her incredible performance in #LaLaLand, wore a Valentino dress that seemed to perfectly match the movie's style and mood: a pale pink backdrop holding silver stars, certainly referring to the movie's hit song "City of Stars."

But as actresses are growing tired of just being ambassadors for couture on the red carpet, instead of being asked relevant questions about their work, they've also started coming up with sassier and sassier answers to the much dreaded "What are you wearing?" question. This time, Stone went the deadpan way and gave Ryan Seacrest the full description.
"Well, it's pink and there are stars on it."
