Our anticipation for Disney's live action Beauty and the Beast is mounting and we cannot get over how brilliant the casting is. In particular, Emma Watson playing our favorite heroine, Belle. Obviously Watson has a monumental task on her hand as Belle is definitely one of the best loved Disney characters ever. Emma herself is such a beloved actress and celebrity we have every faith she has what it takes to do Belle justice. Below are all the reasons we believe she's more than equipped for her most bookish role since Hermione.
1. Bonjour, Bonjour!
Emma Charlotte Duerre Watson is actually French, she was born in Paris and lived there until she was five years old. Though her parents are British, Emma still speaks some French, which shall come in useful for that opening number as she wanders through that quaint French little town.
2. Fairytale Beauty
Emma has the huge brown eyes and delicate features needed to play Belle. Watson always has an air of elegance and grace about her too, something she'll need when she takes to the ballroom in that legendary yellow gown.

3. Books Are Sexy
Emma is a voracious reader and loves nothing more to let her fans know what book she's working her way through. #oursharedshelf encourages fans to expand their reading and libraries.
Just like Belle, Watson's making reading cool and what better adventure is there than a good book? Remember how excited Belle was when the Beast gave her the library, serious #bookgoals
4. Magic and Castles
Emma is used to living in huge, ancient castles after spending so long in Hogwarts. No doubt the brightest witch of her age will feel more than comfortable staying in an Enchanted Castle.
We're hoping for chills like this when we see Belle in her gown. See how perfectly Emma descends the stairs, gown cascading, like a swan. Fabulous.
5. She Believes In Equality For All
Emma is a UN Women Goodwill Ambassador, leading the He for She campaign which focuses on making genders equal by including men in the feminist movement and not simply ostracizing them.
Emma is incredibly supportive of women and their work, and wants the message to spread worldwide to little girls everywhere that they can be anything they want to be. We're sure once the movie is released and a new generation gets a brand new Belle, little girls will start to take notice of the inspiring message Watson preaches.
Being a Princess is not all about crowns and dresses, it's standing up for those less fortunate and making a difference to those who look up to you. Bravo, Emma!
