Emma Watson has joined Ethan Hawke in Alexandro Amenábar’s upcoming movie Regression.

Although the premise of the conspiracy thriller has been kept under wraps, Coming Soon reports that the Regression will center on

a father (Hawke) who is convicted of sexually abusing his daughter. Having no memory of his crimes, he enlists the help of a psychologist and learns that he may be part of a nation-wide conspiracy.

As is probable the case with every blooming working relationship, the director and his newly cast star had only very nice things to say about each other.

Amenábar on Watson:

Emma is a beautiful, humane, sensitive and very talented woman, and I feel very fortunate to be working with her. I'm sure that her long-standing stellar career has barely begun

Watson on Amenábar:

I am passionate about Alejandro and his work and am so happy to be collaborating with him. I'm really excited by the challenge my character presents to me as an actress... I can't wait to begin

The director already made one sort-of conspiracy thriller, titled Open Your Eyes. The movie was later remade by into the starrer Vanilla Sky.

As those of you who have seen either film know, Amenábar knows how to deliver one hell of a twist.

Expect similar pleasures from Regression when it opens August 28, 2015.
