The cast of The Hobbit Trilogy is so vast it's often hard to remember who's actually in it. For example, I had completely forgot was even in The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug. She'll be playing the new role of Tauriel, an elf, who meets the gang of dwarves in Mirkwood. Here's what the former Lost star told Total Film about the role:
She's a very, very young elf. She's only 600 years old, unlike Legolas who's like, 1,900 years old and Thranduil who's about 3,000 years old. She doesn't have quite the wisdom and pose that those two boys do; she's a little more... gritty. A little more spontaneous, passionate perhaps. To play this character I need to have a certain amount of grace. But I'm also supposed to be an absolutely ruthless, deadly killer.
Except for a small role in The Hurt Locker and Real Steel, we haven't really seen the lovely Lilly flex her acting muscles since Lost ended in 2010.
