Ant-Man was one of the most pleasant surprises in recent years. The film exceeded most expectations, considering that the character — much like Iron Man — wasn't originally on Marvel's A-list. The sequel, Ant-Man and the Wasp, is coming to theaters next summer and it will feature Hope Pym (Evangeline Lilly) teaming up with Scott Lang (Paul Rudd) for another adventure.
So far, we'd only seen a tiny teaser trailer. Now, Evangelline Lilly has given us our first look at the Wasp.
First Official Look At The Wasp's Costume Revealed
As you can see in the tweet above, Evangeline Lilly casually dropped the pic of #TheWasp costume in a tribute to #Marvel legend Jack Kirby on what would be his 100th birthday. The Wasp is standing in a classroom with her helmet off, and her costume features a black, blue and red color scheme that really catches your attention.
Also, the costume looks similar to Ant-Man's, but different enough to the point where she doesn't look like just the female version of #AntMan. Personally, I believe this is a great modern take of the iconic Wasp costume, and it will look fantastic on-screen, regardless of her size.
Ant-Man and the Wasp is set to hit theaters on July 6th, 2018. The film will star Evangeline Lilly and Paul Rudd, along with Michael Douglas, Michelle Pfieffer, Michael Pená and Walter Higgins.
