Melissa McCarthy has to be one of the most hardworking figures in Hollywood, but after zooming to second place on the highest paid actresses list, the comedian is grafting away as hard as ever to continue to bring her own personal brand of laughter to the masses.
Below is a roundup of all of the new & upcoming Melissa McCarthy movies & TV shows in 2017 and beyond.
'Gilmore Girls: A Year In The Life' (2016)
Yes, we know it has already broadcast on Netflix, but some slow pokes might not yet have bathed in the nostalgic glory of #MelissaMcCarthy reprising her role as the lovable Sookie.
Sadly, Melissa didn't have an enormous amount of time to dedicate to the project thanks to her movie schedule so her character is sadly underrepresented, but the series is still worth a peek for anyone who holds a torch for Stars Hollow.
'B.O.O.: Bureau of Otherworldly Operations' (Estimated 2017)
After the release date was bumped from 2015 to sometime in 2017, we still have a while to wait before we hear Melissa McCarthy's distinctive voice emanating from newbie agent, Wyatt.
Also starring Seth Rogan as Jackson Moss and other comedy royalty such as Bill Murray and Rashida Jones, this Dreamworks animation flick seems sure to have the whole family cackling with ghostly glee.
'Life of the Party' (2018)
Directed by Melissa's husband, Ben Falcone, the plot details of Life of the Party are currently under wraps, some sources have suggested that it will follow the life of a middle-aged woman (McCarthy) who returns to college.
Also starring Maya Rudolph, Molly Gordon and Julie Bowen and co-written by McCarthy herself, hopefully this 2018 treat will deliver the usual bombastic comedy nuggets.
Unnamed Fox Comedy Series (Unknown)
As well as her work in front of the camera, McCarthy is also expanding her portfolio as a producer by developing a family comedy for Fox alongside her husband Ben Falcone.
The half-hour long show will follow an unconventional family unit that is formed when a successful, driven man finds himself back in his estranged sister's life in a big way. As if resuming contact isn't stressful enough, he also ends up living under one roof with his sibling and her two children. Awkward!
Before she pursued an acting career, McCarthy studied textiles at Southern Illinois University and wanted to become a fashion designer, so it's only natural that the star has developed her own clothing range.
In a response to the lack of fresh. stylish clothes for plus-sized women, McCarthy whipped up her clothing line, Seven7, and it has since won an plethora of positive reviews from larger ladies.
Look forward to new ranges in the future as Melissa's sideline continues to go from strength to strength!
