I mixed footage from Batman (1989) Batman Returns (1992) Batman Forever (1995) Superman (1978) Superman II (1980) Superman III (1983) Superman IV (1987), and the Wonder Woman television series (1975–1979) with dialogue from the Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice trailers, to create this brand new Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (RETRO) Trailer.

In my version of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, The Trinity is made up of Michael Keaton's Dark Knight, Christopher Reeve's Superman, and Lynda Carter's Amazonian Princess. There is no sign of Lex Jr.'s Doomsday; instead, in this story they do battle with Superman IV: The Quest for Peace's super villain: Nuclear Man (Mark Pillow).

The time and place of this trailer is basically exactly the same as the 2016 version of the film, except with the other retro characters. Beginning with Superman's arduous quarrel with General Zod, taking place right after Man of Steel, and going right into this story.

I wanted my trailer to give fans a chance to imagine what the 2016 film would have looked like if Tim Burton and Richard Donner had directed it — and also if it had been set in the late ’70s/’80s.

Another reason I put out this trailer was to give fans a sense of a brooding Batman by Keaton/Burton and the exceptional, hope-filled Superman of Reeve/Donner. On top of that, there are some grin-inducing appearances from Gene Hackman’s Lex Luthor, Margot Kidder’s Lois Lane and even the wonderfully over-the-top Nuclear Man.

Here I present the trailer, enjoy:
