Newt Scamander's suitcase is gearing up to fly open on November 18 with the release of Fantastic Beast and Where to Find Them. And just when we thought we couldn't get any more excited, the new character posters have just dropped and they are as magical as we could have hoped.

Dive right into the character images below and into some speculation of what they might mean, but not before re-watching the trailer:

1. Seraphina Picquery

Carmen Ejogo's Seraphina Picquery is the grand president of MACUSA and is forced to take action after she receives an emergency notification about the threat of magical exposure. Her poster reflects this role.

2. Mary Lou Barebone

Just like her character's personality, Mary Lou Barebone's poster is downright frightening. Not only is it riddled with anti-wizard slurs and the need to combat "modern evils," but it also features a voodoo doll in the corner, suggesting her eagerness to inflict pain and to employ aggressive measures agains the magical community.

3. Credence Barebone

Credence Barebone's image is plastered with "Wanted" posters featuring the faces of Newt and Jacob, both apparently wanted for a bank robbery. As his mother's puppet, he's also distributing hateful leaflets.

4. Percival Graves

Percival Graves's image is arguably the most interesting. Featuring the elusive Deathly Hallows symbol, it brings up a lot of questions about Colin Farrel's character. For starters, could his presence mean he is also a believer like Xenophilius Lovegood decades later? Or could it be that the Auror has close ties to Gellert Grindelwald, who notably used the sign as his personal mark?

5. Queenie Goldstein

Queenie's poster is full of light and warmth, mirroring the kind of person that she is herself on the inside. Unlike her sister, we know she's not as career-orientated and this is shown by the home interior in the background, complete with books and a mannequin to fulfill her creativity.

6. Newt Scamander

As expected, Newt Scamander's image is closely related to his suitcase, quite possibly his most prized possession and the object that unleashes havoc on the Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them world. In particular, we can spot his trusty Picket on his arm and a sketch of a Nifler in the background.

7. Jacob Kowalski

We all know Jacob Kowalski has great dreams of becoming a baker and his poster looks like he's close to achieving them.

8. Porpentina "Tina" Goldstein

Propentina "Tina" Goldstein was once an Auror for MACUSA but was demoted to the wand permit department after using unauthorised magic. The poster shows her ministry identification card, as well as a device to measure the threat of magical exposure.

9. Gnarlack

We already know that Garlack is the goblin gangster who owns a speakeasy bar in Harlem and while his image is scattered with alcohol bottles, it also features Newt and Tina "Wanted" posters claiming they broke the International Statute of Secrecy. Interestingly, a little Bowtruckle is also perched in the corner – could it be Picket?
