Hey everybody, lately there has not been much news about the new Fantastic Four reboot coming out in 2015. Then came the news that Miles Teller (21 and Over) could possibly be the frontrunner to play Reed Richards. I like the guy but he is too young to play Mister Fantastic. So I thought it would be fun to create my own fancast for the film. I hope you like my choices.

Reeds Richards/Mister Fantastic:

Jon Hamm (Mad Men, The Town)

Patrick Wilson (Watchmen, Insidious)

Patrick Dempsey (Grey’s Anatomy, Transformers: Dark of the Moon)

Personally, I thought they could have found somebody better than Ioan Gruffudd to play Reeds Richards. I don’t think that guy is a very good actor and it wouldn’t be that hard for someone to replace him. So I thought these three guys could do a great job. All three have that charming genius look to them that can play a clever Reeds Richards. My pick, out of the three actors, would be Patrick Wilson. I feel like he would take the role seriously and have the right portrayal of the character.

Ben Grimm/The Thing:

Rockmond Dunbar (Kiss Kiss Bang Bang, Prison Break)

Ray Stevenson (The Book of Eli, G.I. Joe: Retaliation)

Ving Rhames (Pulp Fiction, Dawn of the Dead)

It was difficult, for me, to think of a buff bald guy to play Ben. There are not a lot of guys that can pull off the look Michael Chiklis did in the originals. But I thought these were the three best candidates. Of the three, Ving Rhames feels like the right choice. He's got the right body build and he's got the attitude to be The Thing.

Johnny Storm/The Human Torch:

Eric Christian Olsen (NCIS: Los Angeles, Not Another Teen Movie)

Ryan Kwanten (True Blood)

Michael B. Jordan (Chronicle, Friday Night Lights)

Johnny Storm is the fun, charming, playboy that people like to see in superhero movies. So I thought these three actors were the best choice to play The Human Torch. They’ve got all that and more to show for it. Ryan Kwanten, he'd be my choice to play Johnny Storm. If you ever watched True Blood, then you can tell he's got the Human Torch character down to a T. All he'd have to do is lose the southern accent.

Sue Storm/Invisible Girl:

Alice Eve (Star Trek Into Darkness, Men in Black 3)

Gabrielle Union (Bad Boys II, 10 Things I Hate About You)

Maggie Grace (Taken, Lost)

Sue Storm, what can I say about her? She’s fun, sweet, beautiful, and smart. Any man would be lucky to have her. So, who originally came to mind when I think of Sue Storm? These three lovely ladies, they just have that Invisible Girl charisma. But Gabrielle Union, I believe, is the best pick out of the three girls. I see her playing a wonderful dominating sister to Johnny, a loving girlfriend to Reed, and a strong fearless heroine.

Victor von Doom/Doctor Doom:

Jon Hamm (Mad Men, The Town)

Eric Dane (Marley & Me, Grey’s Anatomy)

Sam Trammell (True Blood, Alien vs. Predator: Requiem)

Victor von Doom is one of my favorite and one of the most powerful Marvel super villains. I really enjoyed Julian McMahon’s portrayal on Victor, so I had to think really hard on who could portray the right Doctor Doom. I figured these three men were the best fitting. But Jon Hamm can, without a doubt, play the better Doom. Yes, I know I have Jon Hamm on here twice. That’s only because I believe he could do a great job playing either one of those characters. He's a wonderful actor who has the talent to create a powerful Victor von Doom that can be remembered.

I'm sure many of you disagree with the actors and actresses I chose. Everybody sees things differently and that is a good thing. It's what makes opinions and debating so much fun. So leave your comments below and let me know your thoughts. Thanks.
