The Fast and Furious franchise is obviously primarily about the cars, but every now and then the drivers like to get out and smack each other around a bit. Furious 7 villain, has just announced he'll be doing exactly that with Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson.

In an interview with Vanity Fair to promote his latest suburban action romp, Homefront, Statham released some tantalizing details about the Fast sequel. He explained:

I get to work with a lot of great people who I've always thought were decent. The Rock ... is such a good chap, you know. We're doing a great fight sequence. And working with a pro like that was amazing.

This is certainly exciting, if slightly predictable, news. Sure, we all love the outrageously insane car stunts the Fast team pull, but every now and then we want to see some good ol' fashioned human vs human physical violence, right?

Statham also added that joining an ensemble franchise such as Fast and Furious provides some additional benefits:

It's nice being part of something so big because the pressure is off. It's not just me.

What do you think? Are you excited to see these two action titans have a throw-down, or do you prefer the automobile mayhem? Let us know below.
