There's no doubt that one of the most iconic and touching movie theme song of the recent past was Wiz Khalifa and Charlie Puth's "See You Again," penned for the Furious 7 soundtrack. The song managed to capture the raw emotion of the franchise's loss of main star Paul Walker, and was beautifully inserted into the final scene of the film as his character was farewelled.
It's a hard task to try and find artists who are willing to create a follow up tune for a sequel, but thanks to singer/songwriter Breyan Isaac, we finally know who is taking on the challenge for The Fate of the Furious.
During an interview with Song Writer Universe, Isaac revealed his involvement in the theme song for The Fate of the Furious, which was apparently recorded by rappers Lil Uzi Vert, Travis Scott and Quavo. Isaac said:
"There’s a song coming out with Lil Uzi Vert, Travis Scott and Quavo (from the group, Migos) that’s going to be the theme song for Fast & Furious 8. That will be a single out in March, or close to when the movie comes out in April."
Isaac has been responsible for some monster hits over the last six years, writing for artists including Flo Rida ("Whistle," "Let it Roll" and "Sweet Spot,") Waka Flocka ("Get Low") Pitbull ("Timber" ft. Ke$ha), Nicki Minaj ("Bed of Lies") and Charlie Puth ("Losing my Mind" and "Suffer")
