We're just months away from the heavily anticipated third season premiere of and, after the events of the second season found Nick and Madison on separate paths, we're extremely excited to see the pair reunite in Season 3.

To tide us over until June, has released the first feature length trailer for the upcoming third season, and Fear looks more explosive than ever. Check it out below:

Last we saw our survivors, Madison, Travis and Alicia were on the hunt for Nick, who had previously gone off on his own journey of self-discovery. The Season 2 finale saw Nick and new girlfriend Luciana attempt to cross the border before being attacked by an armed group. As we can see from the trailer, it looks like things are set to get much worse for the Clark family as Fear enters its third season.

Apart from a short preview released earlier this year, this trailer is our first in-depth look at new footage of the hit AMC series. Judging from this new trailer, much will change for the group this season, and Strand seemingly finds himself on the wrong side of a survivor's anger. However, the best part is that Madison and Nick will finally reunite!

The seventh season of , which concluded earlier this month, faced harsh criticism for the violence featured in the premiere episode. In fact, the graphic nature of the show became a topic of discussion, with some viewers calling for fans to boycott the show. The producer of the hit series later confirmed that the violence would be more subdued throughout the remainder of the season. Interestingly, the seventh season was later criticized for its slow, non-eventful episodes.

However, it appears that Fear The Walking Dead won't be following in The Walking Dead's footsteps by cutting down on the violence — if anything, the violence appears to be getting more graphic in the third season. The brand new trailer sees Nick and Madison fighting off walkers, people being thrown off buildings and we even see Madison stabbing a human being in the head — something that The Walking Dead wouldn't have dared to do following the backlash.

The downfall of humanity will, no doubt, be a key theme in Fear as the Clark family struggle to survive during the beginnings of the zombie apocalypse and, as a result, there will likely be more violence. If the third season of Fear proves to be as exciting and eventful as this trailer suggests, then it could be the best one yet. The Walking Dead had better watch out, Fear The Walking Dead may show us just how a zombie apocalypse is really done on television.

Fear The Walking Dead returns to AMC for its third season on June 4th at 9/8c.
