Kingsman: The Secret Service was by far one of the freshest and most original movies of 2014, and this year we're getting the much anticipated sequel to the surprise smash with Kingsman: The Golden Circle. The sequel looks to build on the crazy and wacky scenes of the first movie, and will even try to top it!

The Kingsman franchise may be in a league of its own at the moment, but while we wait for the sequel, take a look at six other movies you'll enjoy if you loved Kingsman: The Secret Service.

1. The Man From U.N.C.L.E.

Year: 2015

Director: Guy Ritchie

Cast: Henry Cavill, Armie Hammer, Alicia Vikander

The Man From U.N.C.L.E. follows the story of a CIA agent and a KGB operative who join forces to solve the mystery of criminal organization which is working to proliferate nuclear weapons.

The Man From U.N.C.L.E. was one of my favorite movies of 2015, but it seems weird how few people have seen the slick flick. Imagine Kingsman: The Secret Service without the Tarantino-esque action sequences. That's not to say The Man From U.N.C.L.E. has no action, but it is a slower burn than Kingsman. Overall it's a smart action movie with some charming acting and wonderful set-pieces.

2. Kick Ass

Year: 2010

Director: Matthew Vaughn

Cast: Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Nicolas Cage, Chloë Grace Moretz

Most of you have probably already seen the 2010 surprise hit Kick Ass, but for those who haven't — you need to right now. Directed by the same man behind Kingsman: The Secret Service, Kick Ass shows the exactly same wacky action that you'd come to expect from Matthew Vaughn.

Kick Ass is an R-rated superhero movie that shows what it would really be like to be a superhero without powers. Featuring excellent music, amazing fights and hilarious banter, this is one you can't miss.

3. The Brothers Grimsby

Year: 2016

Director: Louis Leterrier

Cast: Mark Strong, Sacha Baron Cohen, Rebel Wilson

Comedy legend Sacha Baron Cohen is known for poking fun at various genres in Hollywood and The Brothers Grimsby is no exception, taking various shots at the spy genre. The plot follows a top spy agent being forced to team up with his football hooligan brother for his latest assignment.

This satirical film has over the top action, crazy gags and classic Sacha Baron Cohen humor. It also stars Mark Strong who also happens to be in Kingsman: The Secret Service. Unfortunately this film wasn't exactly the hit it might've wanted to be, but at least that means you probably haven't seen it yet!

4. John Wick

Year: 2014

Director: Chad Stahelski

Cast: Keanu Reeves

If you love over-the-top set pieces and the slick action of the Kingsman series then John Wick is for you. This sleeper hit came out the same year as Kingsman: The Secret Service, though didn't seem to get as much attention as the British-orientated spy flick.

John Wick follows the story of a retired assassin who comes out of retirement to take vengeance upon the gangsters who killed his dog. The film has some of the best shooting scenes I've ever seen and if you haven't seen it yet, I highly recommend it.

5. Alex Rider: Operation Stormbreaker

Year: 2006

Director: Geoffrey Sax

Cast: Alex Pettyfer, Mickey Rourke, Sophie Okonedo

Alex Rider: Operation Stormbreaker is one of the more light-hearted, family-friendly films on this list, but I couldn't leave it out simply because how similar it is to Kingsman: The Secret Service. Like Kingsman, this film follows a teen who has no choice but to join the Special Operations Division of Britain's secret intelligence service, MI6. It's another movie that shows what happens when the weight of millions of lives rests on the shoulders of a teenager.

6. Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy

Year: 2011

Director: Tomas Alfredson

Cast: Gary Oldman, Colin Firth, Tom Hardy

Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy is a 2011 critically acclaimed spy drama, and it stars one of the best casts on this list. Mark Strong features yet again and he's joined by Kingsman: The Secret Service co-star, Colin Firth in this film set during the Cold War.

Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy follows the story of George Smiley, played by Gary Oldman, who comes out of semi-retirement to uncover a Soviet agent within MI6. This film is a perfect choice if you're looking for a good, intelligent secret agent movie.

Some of these movies feature the crazy action of Kingsman: The Secret Service and some have the excellent spy aspects that make Kingsman great. And the best part is that once you're finished watching the films on this list we only have to wait a few months for the highly anticipated Kingsman: The Golden Circle! The upcoming sequel features many of the main stars from the first movie, plus the addition of actors including Channing Tatum and Halle Berry.

Kingsman: The Golden Circle will be released September 22.

Let me know which of the movies on this list you want to see next.
