Who knew that Guardians of the Galaxy would connect with audiences the way it did? It gave us a bunch of criminals put together to achieve a common goal, and #JamesGunn used that premise wisely by exploiting all the potential it offered. These guys weren't initially fond of each other, and even when they became friends, their priceless banter remained.

After that, it's only natural that we've been expecting that incredible dynamic to be back for #GuardiansoftheGalaxyVol2. Well, worry not, because it's definitely returning. During this year's Kids' Choice Awards, the very first clip from the sequel was released, and it gave us a taste of that dysfunctional space-family dynamic we've grown to love from our bunch of a-holes. Take a look:
It starts out with the Guardians evading incoming attack. Drax states they would need to have the best pilot in the galaxy to escape and Peter Quill and Rocket Raccoon - who are both piloting the ship - respond in unison they are each the best.
If we've learned anything from these guys, is that they love competition. And as we expect, things are blown out of proportion when both the human dancing machine and the misanthropic talking raccoon fight for control of the Milano. Rocket naturally doesn't take too kindly to that idea and tells Quill:
"Later on tonight you're gonna be lyin' down, and there's gonna be something squishy in your pillow case. And it's gonna be because I put a turd in there!"
To which Peter responds:
"If you put your turd in my bed, I shave you."
Well, the resourceful raccoon has a trick up his sleeve, because, as it turns out, the fecal matter he wants to place in Peter Quill's bed is not from him. As he revealed...
"Oh, it won't be my turd. It'll be Drax's"
Jesus Christ... that escalated quickly.

Honestly, I wouldn't put it past the little guy to do something like that. I mean, he was building a bomb inside a spaceship.
I'd check my pillow before going to bed if I were you, Quill.
By the end of the first film, we saw the characters becoming a family. Yes, they have their issues, but they love each other. And this clip, through the fairly brutal threats it contained, showed us that dynamic will evolve in the most Guardians-y way possible.
If you can't wait to see what happens between Star-Lord and Rocket, don't forget to check out Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 when it hits theaters on May 5, 2017.
In the meantime, let's all stand around like a bunch of jackasses and watch the trailer:
