Has there ever been a comic book-based movie shrouded in more secrecy (or perhaps the word is "apathy") than Universal's R.I.P.D.? Seriously. We first heard that was slated to star way back in the summer of 2010 and since then, there's been... well, a whole lot of nothing.

But the movie is slated for a June 19th, 2013 release date, and with that date quickly creeping up on us, Universal has finally released a first look at Reynolds and in the roles of Nick Walker and Roy Powell, courtesy of EW.

Based on 's Dark Horse graphic novel series of the same name, the story revolves around Nick Walker (Reynolds), who is a young cop murdered and sent to the afterlife. Once he arrives, he signs up to join the Rest in Peace Department (the R.I.P.D. of the title), the police force dedicated to solving crimes of the undead. His partner is Roy Powell (Bridges), a tough, gun-slinging cowboy from the Old West. Together, they hunt down the man who killed Walker ().

The film, which is set to be released in 3-D, includes a strong supporting cast with , , , , and .

So, we have ourselves a still, but when will we see an official trailer? My guess is that we'll see it in theaters running prior to Oblivion, Universal's blockbuster due to hit theaters in just one week.
