A movie is a very special thing — especially his fudged-up future shock epics. Brazil and Twelve Monkeys are still two of the most unusual, but engrossing, quasi-sci-fi-dystopian flicks I've ever seen. After taking a look at these new images for his upcoming The Zero Theorem, it looks like we'll be getting another dose of Gilliam-esque visions of the future. Indeed in an interview, he explained:
It's not really sci-fi. It's like Brazil, which also isn't really sci-fi.

Qohen Leth is an eccentric and reclusive computer genius who lives in an Orwellian corporate world and suffers from existential angst. Under the instruction of a shadowy figure known only as Management, Qohen works to solve the "Zero Theorem" – a mathematical formula which will finally determine whether life has any meaning. Qohen's work in the burnt-out chapel that serves as his home is interrupted by visits from Bainsley, a seductive woman, and Bob, the teenage son of Management.
See? Who else could deliver that story? The Zero Theorem will also star , and . It's expected sometime in 2014.
