One of the final films Paul Walker worked on before his untimely death recently released its first poster, and it looks suitably awesome for the much anticipated dystopian action thriller.
Brick Mansions is due for release on the 25th of April 2014 through Relativity Media, but eager fans will have to wait until later this week to get their first look at the trailer. The film co-stars rapper turned actor, and pakor master .
Although, there are no clips available let, the storyline is based on the French classic District B13 so the plot is less of a mystery. The official synopsis is as follows:
In the criminal underworld of Detroit, the streets are overrun with violence and drugs and the hand of corruption reaches into the lives of everyone; well almost everyone. For Lino (David Belle) every day is a fight to live an honest life. But when a drug lord kidnaps his girlfriend, Lino is forced to team up with Damien Collier (Paul Walker), an undercover cop who’s been tracking this king pin's involvement in something even more sinister – a plot to devastate the entire city
As a Walker fan, I await this movie with bitter sweet feelings. While it will be great to see the late star dazzle on screen once more, it will also bring the reality of his tragic death in a car accident closer to home.
It is reassuring to know that the production company behind Brick Mansions, Europacorp is dedicated to aiding others through Walker's legacy. They have announced plans to donate a large sum of money to Reach Out WorldWide, Paul Walker's charitable foundation, in his memory.
