We've gotten several surprises from #SpiderManHomecoming. We got a fantastic trailer, a look at the new toys based on the film, and even a confirmation of a new Iron Man armor. But that's not enough for us desperate fans, and with less than four months until Spidey swings into theaters, we've been impatiently waiting for new material.
Today, we got that new material. #Marvel and Sony have released the first three official posters for the film. And honoring the nature of our beloved wall-crawler, they're quite spectacular. Take a look:
1. Spidey Relaxing In Front Of The New York Skyline
The poster shows Spidey chilling and listening to music in front of the beautiful New York City skyline, while wearing his school's jacket (Midtown High School football rules!) on top of his Stark-upgraded suit.
Most notably, in the background, the shiny Avengers Tower is instantly recognizable. And if you look at the bottom, it features what every Marvel fan has desired to see for years: The Marvel Studios logo attached to a Spider-Man movie poster.
If you liked that connective tissue between Peter Parker and #TheAvengers, you'll love the second poster, this one for the UK:
2. Spider-Man Hanging Around Avengers Tower - Literally
That's right, our eyes aren't deceiving us: #PeterParker is hanging (heh) around Avengers HQ. Or, well, hanging on...literally.
3. Spidey Looking For Directions
Here, our friendly Web-Slinger is clinging to a sign, apparently looking for directions. But don't think there's not much more to this piece of promotional material. If you look closely at the bottom, you'll spot Avengers Tower once again, lurking in the background.
Easter eggs like that are very exciting because, although he's already appeared in the MCU, it still gives us chills to see Spidey planted smack in the middle of the world of the Avengers.
Spider-Man Is Finally Part Of The MCU
Every fanboy's dream became true when the ol' webhead fought alongside The Avengers in Civil War. Now, Homecoming will be his first solo outing set in the #MCU, and fortunately for us, Marvel is taking every chance it can to build on that.
Just like when Ant-Man was released, the House of Ideas is connecting the two properties through the posters. As we've come to expect from the studio, that's a very smart move, because a lot of people go see superhero films just because they're set in the Marvel Universe.

What I love about these new posters is the way they shows us the relaxed nature of the film. This is the laid-back #SpiderMan we love from the comics, and we are finally seeing that aspect play out in a movie.
Spider-Man: Homecoming looks to be something very special. And these new posters, while a small tease, give us further evidence of that. If you can't wait to see Spidey's next adventure, don't forget to check it out on July 7, 2017.
