Superman Lives was penned by but despite a fair amount of groundwork being done on the movie, Warner Bros. reportedly pulled the plug after the box office failure of Batman & Robin. It's a shame the movie never saw the light of day, because seeing Cage don the cape would have been really something.

Titled The Death of Superman Lives, the documentary was funded by Kickstarter and the first trailer for it has made its way online. Give it a look.
