A miniature Bilbo has to fight his battle with the Orcs in the new Lego-based video game. The first trailer has been released for Lego's latest adventure, The Hobbit.

As CBM reports, TT Games' upcoming product will focus on the first two chapters of 's fantasy trilogy (The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey and The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug), so fans can re-live the most recent Hobbit experience in a bit more angular, plastic brick version. Players will meet all the favorite Hobbit characters in the interactive game. Just like in the film, Bilbo is recruited by Gandalf to help Thorin and the group of dwarves to reclaim their lost kingdom. On their way, they are entangled in various adventures: they have to fight the hungry trolls and the angry Orcs and Bilbo will meet Gollam and his Precious too. (I only wonder how miniature the One Ring is going to be and how Bilbo will put it on with his tiny hand that only counts two fingers.)

The video features the voice-acting from the original movie and some Lego-style humour: Bilbo does not only tend to lose his head, but also his hair. Check out the game's first announcement trailer here:

Lego: The Hobbit will be available in spring 2014 on the Xbox One, Xbox 360, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, PlayStation Vita, Nintendo Wii U, Nintendo 3DS, PC and Mac.

It is going to be a good year for the Lego fans, since The LEGO Movie also comes out in 2014. Take a peek at Lego's building film universe here.
