Being a fan of the original Park Chan-wook film Oldboy, I find the marketing for Spike Lee's American remake puzzling. For one thing, this TV spot uses a smattering of Twitter responses from average, and apparently excitable, Joes and it seems like they are banking hard on viewers of the remake never having seen or even heard about the original; lot of stock being placed on the twist.
