After watching the rise of Caesar in Rise of the Planet of the Apes and Dawn of the Planet of the Apes we're finally close to the movie we've all been waiting for, as man and ape prepare for battle in the long awaited #WarforthePlanetoftheApes.
The film, which will focus on the battle between Caesar's (Andy Serkis) ape army and a human faction lead by the Colonel (Woody Harrelson), is set for release on July 14, 2017, but today the first official trailer for the epic film dropped. One thing's for sure: it doesn't look great for humankind. Feast your eyes below:

Caesar (Andy Serkis) and his apes are forced into a deadly conflict with an army of humans led by a ruthless colonel (Woody Harrelson). After the apes suffer unimaginable losses, Caesar wrestles with his darker instincts and begins his own mythic quest to avenge his kind. As the journey finally brings them face to face, Caesar and the colonel are pitted against each other in an epic battle that will determine the fate of both of their species and the future of the planet.
In addition to Serkis and Harrelson, War for the Planet of the Apes will also star Steve Zahn, Judy Greer, Karin Konoval, Amiah Miller, and Terry Notary. The film is being helmed by Let Me In director Matt Reeves.
