Grant Gustin will be seen alongside the likes of Sebastian Stan and Samuel L. Jackson in an upcoming project. Foresight Unlimited has announced that Grant Gustin, who plays Barry Allen on #TheFlash, will star in The Last Full Measure, which has been written and directed by Emmy Award winner Todd Robinson.
Grant Gustin plays The Flash in the #DCTV Universe, while Stan and Jackson play Bucky a.k.a. The Winter Soldier and Nick Fury respectively in the #MCU. Seeing these three together in a scene together would make it a #Marvel and #DC union of sorts.
The Last Full Measure is described as a political drama. As for the plot of the movie:
34 years after his death, Airman William H. Pitsenbarger, Jr. ("Pits") is awarded the nation's highest military honor for his actions on the battlefield. One of the great untold stories of the Vietnam era.
According to Deadline, #GrantGustin will be seen playing aforementioned William Pitsenbarger — a special forces Pararescue Jumper and a Medal of Honor recipient. Christopher Plummer, William Hurt, Bradley Whitford, Michael Imperioli, and Linus Roache round out rest of the cast.
Back in 2016, Scott Eastwood, Ed Harris, Laurence Fishburne and Morgan Freeman were cast for this movie. It seems like there has been a change of plans, as Robinson is re-casting the roles and principal photography set to begin this weekend in Atlanta and Costa Rica.
Grant Gustin took to Instagram to make the announcement and share his excitement on landing the role:
We can't wait to see Grant Gustin on the big screen, but the movie won't likely hit theaters until next year. Until then, keep watching Gustin do what he does best — play the fastest man alive on The Flash.
