Are you ready to watch Kristen Stewart go gritty and play a female soldier in Guantanamo Bay? Good, because her new movie from Walk the Line director Pater Sattler has just landed IFC Films as a distributor!

Camp X-Ray tells the story of Amy Cole (Stewart) who gets a job with the army and is hoping to hightail it out of her claustrophobic small town to Iraq. Instead she is send to Guantanamo Bay. While most Muslim men in her charge seem to despise her, Cole forms an unlikely bond with Ali (Peyman Moaadi), who has been imprisoned at Gitmo for eight years.

The movie premiered at the Sundance Film Festival earlier this year and was met with positive reviews, suggesting that Stewart may finally be escaping her own Twilight-shaped prison. Entertainment Weekly are now reporting that IFC Films has acquired the North American rights to the movie, meaning that Kristen will be delivering her military might in theaters near YOU! Awesome.

Does Camp X-Ray sound like sort of flick you're interested in watching KStew in? Or would you rather see her in something more supernatural, a la Twilight? Drop me a line below and let me know your thoughts.
