Wonder Woman is one of the most anticipated films of the summer, and the buzz surrounding the film has only increased after several positive early reviews. Gal Gadot is the first actress to ever play the titular superhero on film, and Wonder Woman is the first female-led superhero film since the genre became popular in 2008.

There is a lot riding on Wonder Woman, not only because the has been struggling; its success could mean a lot for the future of female-led blockbusters. Warner Bros. has done a great job marketing Wonder Woman, and in the past weeks, they have really pushed the film’s message of female empowerment through TV spots and viral ads.

Warner Bros. has truly embraced their female superheroes, and on the blue carpet premiere of Wonder Woman in Los Angeles, they brought together all the badass women from current and past shows. The highlight was meeting up with the legendary actress who made Wonder Woman an icon in the ‘70s, Lynda Carter.

Gal Gadot and Lynda Carter Unite At The Wonder Woman Premiere

made an appearance at the premiere of Wonder Woman in Los Angeles, and took pictures with the lovely Gal Gadot. Carter is best known for her portrayal of Wonder Woman in the 1975 television show, but was considered to be the live-action version of Diana Prince until Gadot debuted her version of the character in Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice.

The picture of Gal Gadot and Lynda Carter serves as a nice way to bridge the gap from the classic TV show to the new film. It’s hard to believe that the camera could contain that much awesomeness in one picture without exploding. Lynda Carter is still involved with DC Comics properties, and she is currently portraying the role of President Olivia Marsdin on Supergirl.

The Women Of The Arrowverse

Warner Bros. invited a few actresses who have helped bring badass female DC Comics characters to life outside of the DCEU. Caity Lotz, who plays Sara Lance/White Canary on Legends of Tomorrow, made an appearance, along with Candice Patton, who plays the wonderful Iris West on The Flash.

Danielle Panabaker also made an appearance at the Wonder Woman premiere, and we had forgotten what she looks like without a white wig and blue contacts. Panabaker plays Caitlin Snow on The Flash, but in the last season, her personality was overtaken by the evil Killer Frost.

Juliana Harkavy is new to the , but she has quickly fallen into her role as Dinah Drake, who has recently taken the mantle of Black Canary on Arrow.

Robin Wright

Robin Wright made her appearance on the blue carpet, and she looked stunning. The actress is best known for her roles in House of Cards, Forrest Gump and as Princess Buttercup in The Princess Bride. Wright is playing Hippolyta, Queen of the Amazons in Wonder Woman, who is one of the most badass women in DC Comics lore.

Wonder Woman is inching closer to its release, and it was great to see all the women of the film and DCTV at the film's premiere. All the trailers for Wonder Woman have been great, and based on the early buzz, it looks like Warner Bros. will have a hit on their hands.

Make sure you catch Wonder Woman when it comes to theaters on June 2, 2017.
