NBC's drama pilot Constantine now has its director.

, who is no stranger to the supernatural having shot feature films such as Dog Soldiers and The Descent, has signed up to direct the opening episode of the upcoming series.

Marshall comes with experience in TV, too. He was responsible for the widely acclaimed Blackwater episode of Game of Thrones, as well as taking the helm for several episodes of 's pirate drama Black Sails.

Fans of the series are cautiously optimistic about the upcoming project, which has been scripted by The Dark Knight Rises co-writer .
