Game Of Thrones returned to screens for its seventh season several weeks ago and the action has been non-stop ever since. From Daenerys Targaryen's epic arrival on Westerosi shores to Cersei's cunning plan to attack the dragons when they arrive in Kings Landing, things have really been, ahem, heating up in the world of Westeros.

The latest episode of the hit fantasy drama set up a meeting between the show's two biggest characters and the internet was overjoyed at the possibility of Daenerys Targaryen and Jon Snow finally coming face to face. While there are still a few days before the next episode hits screens, it looks like you wdon't have to wait until then to get a glimpse of this iconic meeting as HBO have released a series of photos teasing Jon's arrival at Dragonstone.

While in Winterfell, Jon was preparing for the fight between the living and the dead. But considering he's running a little low on dragonglass and Valyrian steel, the King in the North has decided to travel to Dragonstone to meet with Queen Daenerys after discovering that the land is full of dragonglass. Moreover, the Targaryen princess has three dragons and, as I'm sure you are aware, dragon fire can kill a White Walker, so meeting with Dany is not only a courtesy to Westeros' newest ruler, it's a necessity for the wars to come.

Daenerys summoned Jon to Dragonstone based on both Melisandre and Tyrion's recommendation. As the young ruler told Daario Neharis back in Season 6, If she is to rule the Seven Kingdoms then she will need to make alliances.

The Mother of Dragons has already amassed quite a following with the support of the Tyrells and the Sands of Dorne — two of Westeros' most powerful families — so adding Jon Snow (and the support of the North, another key location in Westeros) would give Dany more support in her attempts to take out Cersei. Not to mention that if Jon helps Dany rid the Seven Kingdoms of Cersei, thus helping her acquire her birthright as Queen of the Seven Kingdoms, then Dany will likely return the favor and provide the firepower to take on the White Walkers.

Will Dany and Jon Marry?

For years, the fans of Game Of Thrones have wanted Daenerys and Jon to marry. While this does seem appealing, there is a rather large kink in that plan — it is believed that the two characters are actually related. While it has yet to be confirmed on the HBO series, it is believed that Rhaegar Targaryen was actually Jon's father and, as a result, this would make Dany his aunt. However, considering this is Westeros we're talking about and incest has always been a major part of the Targaryen lineage, then we're willing to condone this union.

Their union and eventual marriage has the potential to rid Westeros of two evils - Cersei Lannister and the White Walkers. with the two forces of evil out of the way, then the pair could live in peace and harmony. I don't know about you, but we couldn't think of a better ending of the show than with Daenerys ruling over the Seven Kingdoms while Jon rules the North. What can we say, other than this is union that even the Lord of Light would approve of.

Game of Thrones airs Sundays on HBO.
